Settling in to new site, fiddling with CSS

the navbar buttons look the same huh. well they've been annoying me all day
today I messed around a bit with my CSS - i added a text indent the other day but I thought it looked kinda harsh on mobile, especially, so I toned it down a bit.. and also the navbar buttons were bugging me a bit, as I think the <a> containing a <button> makes it interact weirdly, but nothing I tried really worked how I wanted to, so I kinda just left them as is. also I think I accidentally made my favicon not work..? so hopefully that's fixed when I push this update too. also I got publish dates set up alongside the date modified- i figure that kinda thing is useful context sometimes in the sorts of blog posts I write so I thought it would be neat to add..
anyway.. i have other things to be doing, so I probably should wrap this stuff up and push my site and worry about more of that later. still having a lot of fun making website!

(second edit: ok i forgot to mention also I rewrote like. a lot of the other text on the website too, today. I rewrote the main page a bit to be a little bit more of a concise about-me type page. also i moved the Buttons page into its own button. and also i messed around with date/times so now instead of GMT which is a time zone my frail mind does not understand it's now EST which is a timezone my frail mind does understand. due to the workings of static site generator that was mildly more difficult than i thought. but i got it done and i only had to do a little javascript which wasnt too horrible. also speaking of rewriting the index page to be more of an aboutme zone i'm casting the really old bio page into the depths as a vestige of the old version of this site, and also just to free up a little more room on the titlebar.. so i'm linking it here so it's still accessible if you want to read some several years out of date info about me for some reason)
(third edit: it put ONLY DATE.NOW so i had to call in my strongest soldier to debug the issue but it's the correct times now for everything good Night it is almost 3 am)
(fourth edit: refactoring broke exactly one function but it was trivial to fix everything is good everywhere now and forever)
